Royal Caribbean's newest ship, Legend of the Seas, will be setting sail in Europe from August 2026! The maiden voyage will depart from Barcelona, offering a 7-night Western Mediterranean cruise, visiting Palma De Mallorca, Spain; Florence/Pisa, Italy; Rome, Italy; and Naples, Italy.
After the summer cruising season out of Barcelona and Civitavecchia (for Rome) comes to an end, Legend of the Seas will relocate to her new home in Florida, beginning in November 2026. Legend of the Seas will offer 6-night Western Caribbean cruises from Port Everglades.
Legend of the Seas is a retired name for one of Royal Caribbean’s former vessels. The name was previously used for one of their Vision Class ships which was launched in 1995 and retired in 2017 to go off and join the Marella Cruises fleet. The ship was 70,000 gross tons and had a capacity of 2,000 passengers. However, the new world’s largest cruise ship will be able to handle around 7,000 passengers when at full capacity and is 250,800 gross tons.
